Description

Thecus N7700 Network Attached Storage ServerBeginning with the venerable N4100 to the legendary N5200, Thecus NAS devices have established the company as a worldwide leader in digital storage. Today, Thecus is proud to release details about

Overall, the performance of the N7700 is quite high when using a gigabit connection.  Independent testing of write speeds ranged from the mid 50's to the low 70's in MB/s, depending on the RAID configuration of the NAS at the time, while read speeds measured consistently around 60 MB/s regardless of configuration.

As with most multiple drive NAS systems, the N7700 has a strong focus on RAID capacity.  This is where the N7700 naturally excels, having not only a large variety of RAID options supported, but also some of the most robust automated RAID expansion than most of the other arrays available on the market today.  Not only are RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, and JBOD configurations all available, but RAID expansion and migration are both supported as well, allowing additional drives to be added to the array for automatic integration.
