The Synology DiskStation 2-Bay (Diskless) Network Attached Storage DS211 is one of Synology's least expensive NAS devices. It comes as a diskless model or with two disks already installed. As with all Synology NAS devices, it runs a very feature rich control software that Synology has customized for flexibility and ease of use. It uses a very low amount of power - averaging around 22W when in use and allows the hard drives to hibernate which allows for even less power usage - around 10w when idle.
With low noise (Noise Level : 21.0 dB(A)) and fast gigabit file tranfer, this Synology model is one to consider for NAS users on a budget.
